Revamping these sites knocked out two birds with one stone:
With the investment in some new MarTech tools and the promise that having a smarter and more operationally efficient backend system would help drive value for internal folks and advertisers, we needed to make sure that our websites are a desirable destination for users and we had a solid foundation for tracking their journey. To better understand what they're doing, we landed on three key metrics to focus our redesign around:
The primary issue (along with needing to step up the overall visual design) was that there was a lot of content that teams were creating—but a good chunk of it wasn't clearly organized or easily found by the end user. Not only is this an issue for a user on our site, but for internal reporting and really understanding what sort of journeys folks are taking. There needed to be more distinct content zones, clearer ways to navigate the sites, and overall a more attractive experience. The primary focus areas for this initial launch were around these items:

The infrastructure for this project has lent itself to power all of our products moving forward. We've built an foundational design system powered by our new brand refresh that will continue to level up Morning Brew's design and experiences.
